Most personalised lanyards are part of a marketing event and the card holder is an important part of the overall concept. Often the card holders are forgotten in the process of ordering the promotional lanyards and the printed media has to be changed in the last moment to accommodate the card holders available.
Plan ahead, talk to us about the purpose of your campaign and the best and most cost effective method for your card holder. We do not brand our card holders although this could be a possibility if there is enough space.
ID Card Holder
We offer ID Card Printing but it’s just as important to add an ID Badge Holder so that your can display your printed ID card.
The image opposite shows a man wearing a suite with a slotted printed card. This is attached to his top L/H breast outside pocket using a lever clip strap.
Looks very smart, but there are many different types of ID Card Holders to choose from. We’ve crocodile clips that have self adhesive strips to attach to the back of the card or card holder and the crocodile clips grips the clothing. For a less intrusive method the magnetic strips work well and often a preference for the ladies.
To cater for all employees we suggest holding a mixture of clip & holders.
ID Plastic Card Holder
Plastic holders also known as ID Badge Holders are made from either PVC or rigid plastic. The rigid card holders are design to hold a CR80 standard plastic card of dimensions 86 x 54m with either single sided or dual sided holder. The flexible holders come in a range of sizes and mostly clear but we also offer a range with coloured headers. Enclosed holders offer something different, as they’re closed and made from hard plastic they totally protect the card.
ID Badge Reels
Badge Reels comes with a key ring clip or strap clip to attach to your ID card holder. They give you a lot of flexibility with the main advantage to avoid the need to stoop on accessing doors. We offer many different styles and colour options. The NHS Badge Reels come with a “NHS logo” epoxy dome label in the centre of the reel to easily identify staff walking around the hospitals for added security. We also supply heavy duty badge reels in 51mm or 41mm diameter with wire cables to make them last a lot longer.
ID Clips and Straps
It might be you’d rather have a clip or pin holders with an adhesive back to fit onto the card, we’ve a large selection available. The plastic cards are normally around 760 microns, which isn’t that thick so many clients still use a rigid card holder first then attach the clip to the rear of the holder.
What is a Lanyard Card Holder?
This is a method to hold your ID card onto your custom lanyard. The size of the card holder depends on your printed media, for the rigid card holder size most people use the 85 x 54mm card which is the same size as the credit card.CR80
ID Card Size
The standard ID badge size is CR80 which is 86 x 54mm or 3.303 inches by 2.051 inches with rounded corners. This is the most common for consumers and most ID card printers.
Design Tips – Retransfer printers are able to print over the edge but often they cost more to produce simply because the printers and consumable costs are more expensive. Most cards are printed by Direct-to-card ID which leaves a small border around the edge of the card. .
Lanyards Plastic Holders
